Mythweaving our way to happiness

Mythweaving our way to happiness

Where are the ornament of joy
Are they hidden from us?
Of all the stars most beautiful
I cannot convey
——————————–

How difficult it is to view them
Here, in the city
Where men walk over other men
Who lie sleeping on the ground
——————————–

We put the dazzling dawns
In our pockets
And forget them there
So rushed are we to
——————————–

Achieve our goals
Like, saving up for retirement
Or, planning our next trip
Meeting someone to make us happy
———————————-

Cloth dripping
Gold exposed
Parents dying
Numbness all around…..
————————————-

Where are the clues to learning?
Have we forgotten how to change?
Of all the silver slips of space
I cherish most
————————————

I cannot convey
But I am not someone
Who likes to wound
Rather, I have a quiet mind
————————————–

We compete in this world
And I converse in my dreams
With the desire to do good
In a world as helpless as this.

  1. This subject matter is very relevant to the situation I find myself in. I want to strive for greater achievement, but I don’t want to miss the smaller, more significant moments. All too often the beauty and humanity is lost in the rush for success, whatever that might be. Thank you!

    • Yes Eric, it’s one of the enigmas of existence I guess, and especially our times. Time is accelerating with the information age, and our artificial culture pervades our life more and more.
