Each time nature solved everything for us

Instructions for living a life:
Love cleanly
Let go easily
Learn without inhibition
There were no enemies

There was only this
Impression of ignorance
This clamour of attention
By the self to the self
A feeling of drama

And anonymity
The intelligent machines
Kept asking good questions
Each time they seemed
To solve everything with

Their quantum algorithms
Being human wasn’t
So easy, we were biological
Programs uprooted from
The Earth, tempted by

Society to do unnatural things
And live lives that
Fundamentally, went against
The universal laws of nature
That couldn’t be easy?

How could we live a life
Without regrets, without
Irony and sadness
Love clearly
Let go easily

Learn without inhibition
That’s what said:
The water
The wind
And the seasons.

Beholding the Lovely body of a Sunbeam

I yearn for completion
In the abstract tapestries
A beauty as soft as music, as wood

That sends a freshness
against the waves
of lights from a distant region

of the Universe, the shape
A new measure of mind
I yearn for completion

In truth and beauty
Of another world, with
The fragrance of unbroken springtime!

I yearn for some language of substance
Beyond the biological cravings
of flesh, sniffing twilight

the pangs of the hot heart
Which hunts the barrens
For some savage harvest
Beyond color, above sound.

Advice from Creation

That strange flower, the sun
Just gave me word that
The world that I know is an illusion
She descended in robes of purple
To tell me in the loneliest air
That I am the listener of time

I watch it like a dance of a few leaves
Like a metaphor of giving reality
Its purpose, informing singularity
That strange flower, the sun
Gave me lessons in probability
The speed of light, fictive music

Most near, most clear exuberance
Heat, the clearest of blooms
The flame and swan-song that separates summers
From each other, like silver sprinkles
Of a few hundred dawns
That strange flower, the sun
Told me our imperfections were wrought
By common thoughts, and repeated actions.
