Ebola in Motion

34

The bleeding has no bias
From the Congo to Dallas
The days of waiting, the Fever-soar
The African corpses were out

Of view, from the World’s eyes
If a sneeze can defile
Ebola can ride airplanes
Traverse Seas, all through

Your plastic gloves, your pores
Contagious still with death
Your fear may taste the curse
A thousand dead more, a common ache

The bleeding has no bias
Jesus will not bring you back from the Dead
We have to walk through Hell alone
They say, I have no more words

The bleeding has no bias
No funding, or protocol that works
The virus rages on, splitting old scars
Of what it means to be from the

Old continent, of what it means to be black
And the coughing up of more blood
Where paranoia and fear are conditions
As common as kindness and hospitality here

The panic of believing a silent enemy
Can catch you without you knowing
These are the days of waiting
These are when the numbers soar.

Ebola, the 60% protocol

Ebola then turns the insides of its host into jelly: you begin to vomit black junk which is basically your dissolved liver and internal organs.”
― Andrew Cormier

7

Fear too is an epidemic, it stretches out like
An incubation period for a kind of doom
Population control, whispered a silent elite
Who engineer our wallets, our GMO food, our futures

Ebola was a convenient way, of making us fear
Who we once were again, black as a Nigerian
We died alone in deathbeds, isolated plastic containers
For who we once were, our organs giving out

Infection was a spider hand, MSM gave us
False positives, but could the main-stream-media
Be trusted any longer? Wasn’t this just a matter
Of time, an algorithm set loose upon the billions?

Fear is that place, where people go in adversity
It’s hypnotic like an audience at a concert
It’s contagious how the will for self-preservation can spread
Fight of flee, but where to run, out of the cities?

The new normal is a kind of paranoia
While we watch the situation very closely
Every hour there is underground news about
Another case in another country, Ebola isn’t

Your grandmother that only likes good climates
She’s an engineered hypothesis of how mobility
Causes any true pandemic to become a flamboyant outbreak
The comet that signals black plagues has been seen

Fear too is a weapon, when you can’t stop the world
Because it’s too costly to do so, and you can’t
Tell the world not to fly because we’re too free
We left Africa a long time ago, but who among us
Would stand 20 meters from their open graves?

1. What city in Europe has the greatest chance of being the first major outbreak area?

That would be Paris, France.

2. What Country has the greatest chance of losing the most lives in the next 3 months?

That would be India.

Treatise on Oneness

Molecular Thoughts

Today
I am quietly choosing God’s light
The sunlit path is meant

To illumine me of myself
On meditation-wings
To carry down my own

Heart’s unrelenting purity
Today
God’s forgiveness finds me

No matter where I am
God’s compassion takes me
Where I ought to go

Into your arms, into your mind
With your creativity bright!
Today

I think upon Goddess-power
Her lovely eyes of
Infinity’s satisfaction-smile

She cannot afford to be
As careless with my life
As I am

Today
The new quantum-reality
Is teaching me how to surrender

To its Vision-Light
To its reaches of Supermind
My soul representing

Goddess the Beauty
On earth, with a peace that
Requires no interpretation

And a hope to love the Earth
That needs no explanation
It just is.

Treatise on Surrender to the Future

68

My Beloved,
I came into the world
With empty hands,
Unaware of what treasures

I might find here –
I cam from God
The Eternal Dreamer
Ready to know my Immortal Lover

She was the happiness-gift
Of a devotion I valued most
She was the bliss-spark
Of a surrender I happened upon

Naturally, as naturally
As I was born to live and die –
My Beloved,
My minds wants to invent

A new God, with pretty new doctrines
But my heart wants to discover
Something eternal, untarnished
By bloody histories, civil unrest

My dear Nature,
Please warm me before
Evolution finds my kind extinct
My gratitude-heart,

Can only bare so much
And I feel your heart
Even in the carelessness of all
We have done, all we do

The miracle of my chase with God
Can only end in the realization
Of your secret wishes
In my descendants.

Treatise on Carl Jung

50

Embrace your darkness, for there
Is always something to learn
Look deep within your own heart
We are the most brilliant teachers
Of ourselves, and what kind of pupils?

We are two personalities then
One lives and the other watches
We are both male and female
Like two chemical substances
If both are bonded & react, how do they transform?

Let the light in and accept the darkness
Love thy defects until they are virtues
Sharpen thy virtues until they dissolve
Your own recipe for living just needs
Some seasoning, so create yourself anew

Liberate the hypothesis on which you base your life
Until you find a freedom to die and be born again
The pendulum of pain teaches of a secret order
I am not what happened to me
I am therefore, what I choose to become;
You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.

The Bamboo Gathering Sutra

35

I just close my eyes –
And I can see souls
That dwell above white stone

Waiting, with far-off voices
Calling the future
While candle wax burns

Off of my ignorance
A shower of white snow
That powdery wonder

Like sand-grain of infinity
I bathe in its glow
On a balcony looking out

Into nowhere, I feel the deep peace
Of years clocked only on a journey
Between star and star

I just close my eyes –
And I can remember lifetimes
The senile elements of realities

So brief, I watch them as the pretty
Wail of mandolins, the months
When we were young felt longer

I wait for the jasmine-gardened night
For the fragrance of tomorrow
The dawn where voices join

Like mouths that tremble under waterfalls
And dreams that float like Indian perfume.

In These Times You Have to be Terribly Careful

27

As a result of being confirmed
As unable to breathe or think
Confined in the dark, my friends
That is how I know I am dead –
Only occasionally is my heart now moved
By the plight of mortals and

The weight, of their mischievous mortality
They can’t reconcile themselves
To their condition, since their
lives are so full of change
They raise their heads clumsily
Like infants, only to live with a limp

Fearing the inevitable, I was once
Like light, adjusting myself
In the crypt of empty space
As a result of being, after the symphony
As unable to hear the empty music
Confined in the light, my friends

That is how I know I am yet alive –
I will take every occasion thus
To let my heart be moved
By the awkward wonders here,
And the stems of silence like levels
Of the hotel of flesh, where the carpet
Of my biology is somehow too soft.

As Can No Other Mouth

26

The Worthiness of Suffering
Is ascertained by tasting –
As can no other Mouth, but ours
That grief would be our Savior?

We banquet as if it meant
The meaning of our lives
The Worthiness of Death
Is ascertained by inevitability –

As can no other Body, but ours
That health would be our mate
Across such lonesome years
We banquet on ill-health as if

Affliction makes us feel palpable
Better to feel something, than nothing
The Worthiness of Depression
Is ascertained by our unique subjectivity

As our soul is used by nature
On islands of Earth, until even us
We are struck by what we felt
Were the burdens of others, remote.

A Moment of Creative Seeing

20

I bring three things for an impossible meeting
To the workshop of your mind
Reproduced like old art books
On the coffee table never opened

Strength, skill and beauty
Above all, the reminder of human spirit
The easy gait of a lifetime of learning
I bring to you the philosophy of self-expression

The movement of harmony
In lost words, triumphant until the end of the world
Ready-made like language, and alien
As the moment of the surprise of enchantment

I bring three things for an impossible meeting
The shimmering of deftness in the brain
Reproduced like ancient books
In the library in an age where we no long read

Strength, skill and beauty, above all strength
The will to create a new world at every meeting
With the previous construct of reality.

Poem from the 21st Century

15

My inner artist burns
to build a new world
past the last revolution
for something special like

Freedom and equality for all
from an umbrella of social concern
it is the youth that change
the status quo, certainly not

The hooks of flowers, the marriages
family builders, who must
play their accustomed niche
the biological imperatives

where years blur in ancestral worship
descendant divinity, evolution’s
meditation on forms: self-replication
my inner artist burns

For this corrupt economy to fail
past the years of anarchy
for something special like
an ethical communal setting

It is the youth who envision
a better future, the elders
no longer have the courage
to act upon once lofty ideals.

By Night, I Love language

72

In Night travel I go back to verse
The poesy behind sleep
at the root of subconscious origins
the purest motion of evolution
some constancy of sharing

That beats in my chest
when I was just a fish –
In Night travel I go back to the word
The poesy behind rapture
at the root of superconscient bliss
with starry questions as a single key

To sunlight infinity, there I will beg
The one voice to spread through
all creatures until I feel her eyes

staring back at me from all sides
that sleep might answer, all the sky’s
lovely shadows and queries:
By Night I travel back to the dawn.

Beholding the Lovely body of a Sunbeam

71

I yearn for completion
In the abstract tapestries
A beauty as soft as music, as wood

That sends a freshness
against the waves
of lights from a distant region

of the Universe, the shape
A new measure of mind
I yearn for completion

In truth and beauty
Of another world, with
The fragrance of unbroken springtime!

I yearn for some language of substance
Beyond the biological cravings
of flesh, sniffing twilight

the pangs of the hot heart
Which hunts the barrens
For some savage harvest
Beyond color, above sound.

Magnetic transience of our blooms

70

If your eyes were not the
color of lightning, of a day full
of loving hope, this world of
faces, work, play, politics

If you were not the chief grace
of my little years, amber weeks
golden months, clogged with
moments of clasping anticipation

I would have gone mad long ago –
If, my dearest, you had not come
into my life like sand, trees, rain
everything is so alive that is to

live with you, eat with you, move with you
if our arms, legs, noses did not touch
each night in our beloved sleep
your life and my life would not

be so good, so happy, and now
I can see everything that lives
and loves in you, so easily, held-in
as the water that shatters the

restless rock; the breeze that caresses
the most ancient fires, you were there
and we drop into the future in
blue salt, falling in sea-circles of
another world, of permanent tenderness.

A Brief Definition of Longing

65

My longings died for the youth
beautiful bodies aged and with
roses by the head, jasmine at the feet

time did not save anyone, longing passed
like the words of the dead, who lived
in the presence of sensual pleasures

so fleeting, temporary, the vivid aches
but radiant mornings drove us on
the timid imaginations of a lifetime

in blood flesh and hot striving for survival
exalted young sensualists have to become
something else, mystical longings

that have a difficulty defining the goal
a forbidden ecstasy of meditation otherworldly
where synapse kisses the universe

my longings died past mid-life
the beautiful angels did not age
the spirit would never die

love’s height lifted above a person
we would become separated forever

To All Good Nights

61

Good night, because we must
Say how to elude strife is to sleep
Father! They won’t tell me
What the light knows

That I shall never know –
Good night, I fumble at my spirit
As players at the chords & keys
Before they drop full of music

Before the end of poetry
Good night, prepare your possessions
You will not need them beyond here
Father! They won’t tell me

Why your breath is so timid today
What the light knows
That we shall never know –
Good night, we are dealing

With Imperial thunderbolts
With a fate that scalps my naked soul
The stars above my head
And my feet pointed to the sea

Good night, because we must
Not know what to do next
Father! In our hour of doom
All evenings steal our purple flight

Reasons profound and Daffodils
Good night – merit and fear qualifies
Humanity, to my beloved need
That never met a more sufficient proof
Than saying good night,
With but itself to rest upon.

Primal Body

58

Who is the pictured form, the body that lasts
That repeats its masks, its lusts
Biology, like scattered threads of clay
That breeds and seeks to win

Across the veils of ecstasy
Who is behind the sense, across immortality
The youth derived from evolution’s soul –
That fetches the wine from the beyond

Who is the pictured form,
The female that lures, the male that pushes on –
That tie the skin of opposites
With head and loin, heart and care
The songs of the organics, the original ancestors.

Look on that spiritual cheek

55

I no longer have any idols
Beauty has scattered
Desires have fled

My ascetic’s door has been taken
My prayers no longer have a sutra
My heart no longer has an object

I have forgotten the memory
Of god and the world
I no longer write a poetry of sweetness

Or care to sing of my afflictions
No heart is left in me except
The friend to all the worlds
That seeks to treat each equally.

from The Happy Marriage

54

Days I remember of
Now in my heart
Days in the nude
Of the fondness of new love

Throbbing with the peace
Of ecstasy of windy grass
September days that shook
With the health of

Death that never was
Or Life that can only be
Days I remember of
An Eternity of the heart –

Waiting impatiently for victory
Of a life that stands still
Or moves sure at last of all things
As the things seen by moon or sun.

Requiem for Everyone

50

Everything has its own hour
Where loved, treasured, not sold –

becomes our everything for a time
Until ‘nothing can last forever’ becomes
the day, the month, the mysterious year
where fate can unravel in a turn

So be it, looted, betrayed, traded, doomed
Our life is a mystery of cherry perfume

of laughter and fountains, transparent
as the constellations which depict
the cosmic story of individuality
miraculous, dark and the stories

We have always known until they
Happen to us, we encompass everything
Eaten by time’s hunger, under the wing of stars.

Meditation exists at the frontiers of experience

17

You are not your mind
You do not belong to your body
Move in freedom and do that
Which brings you total freedom

Each moment give in to the new
Drop the past, the anxiety
That accumulate with restriction
Unlearn the past, so that you may

Learn to die in living a bit further
You are not your mind
You do not belong to your body
You are a soul totally alive

Throbbing, pulsating, streaming
A quantum intelligence beyond
The brain, society, species, of your experience
You are a spiritual organ in a network

Let your ambitions and attachments go
For power, prestige, desire, money
Will not lead you to the pure freedom
Meditation exists when you listen to silence.

I fumbled at my nerves on Earth

40

I am a living acre without design
an apparent order of action in anonymity
this wind and sun are my neighbors here
i yet attain a shadow or of a squirrel

a silent truce with general nature
and the idea of a plan, severely retarded further
by the poignant excess of luxuries to the few –
I am a living care of temporary possession

an apparent cause of love in union
this landscape and tree are my playmates here
i yet attain a shadow or an art of flower
a silent truce with universal chance

it might be famine all around, but we still
live from smile to smile, by happiness
and small wonders fed, the years
i have been without a home.

Felicity of Doom

39

Death and conscience, O’ she –
Will easily classify achievement
Achievement being a forgetful thing

Dare you saw a few souls
Deep straight down, a white heat
Of harmony at the best & worst of times?

Then crouch within the door
Of possibility, and listen for –
The metaphysics of vanished others

Who mysteriously appear and suddenly
Take leave, we quiver at the forge
Of the social fire’s flame, that unanointed Blaze

Where we marry others for a moment in words
And sacrifice a bit of ourselves, to please
Death and conscience, O’ she will –

Easily disseminate our mutualities
Love being the most memorable things
It is not a question of who or stability

But how much did we give & love
On what Anvil did we place our heart
That celestial soundless tugged-of-within.

on Being Other Centered

37

I scarce esteem the business of a name
Time and being, too closely knelt –
To be somebody is surely
A bondage, as a play, the debts

Of somebody else’s keeping
In some spaces, imprisonment
With other co-conspirators, sweet
I scarce esteem my time on the Earth

Less with my comrades
Few and far-between though they call –
Bring my past despair, those
Bands of spice, talks or reckoning

So I may take flight from these
Boundaries of sense-in-pain
For consciousness is thus sandwiched
Between Eternity and time, and others

I can do without time and Eternity
Enough to be at heart with beloveds.

31

Look, look, look – far ends to tired days
That all days were tiring and half-endured
I recommend this abstinence from pain

A praise of purity, in expressions
Of the most lucid meditation
Look, look, look – at the flavor

Of all the Beloved guests, which banquet
With spice & wine, through time
Till my small Library of experience

Is full, full, full – far ends to newer days
That required a wilderness of eyes
And holidays of the happy heart

To stay awake and keep on living
Though at times there were no kinsmen dear
To satisfy the spirit, or obtain peace

I recommend this abstinence from attachment
A praise of purity, in expression
Of the most transparent meditation

Done with all compasses of hope and art
When thinking is shed for rapture & silence.

Ode to Percy Shelley

24

Lucid are the wild silver keys
Past the fountain of tears of youth
Where the spirit drinks

Ecstasy, till the brain is wide-away
To put to sleep a thousand fears
That once tormented us hourly

O’ like a drowsy child is now
Laid to rest in flowers of sunshine
Thou who were the ‘food of Love’

Talk to me sweetly of the stars again –
That I grew in thee with Music murmuring
Till the sweet self measures divinity

Every word a fragment from the golden shelf
Where the world’s great age begins anew
In each young person’s dissolving dream of soul.

For Fairest Woman, of Worthiest Men

152

Oh do not leave, for I shall hate
All women so, when thou art gone
That I have celebrated women
(In the best & worst of times)

For the world’s soul signs its name
In my heart with the breath of devotion
To human and diviner things
Oh love is a strange fever in organics

That burns with a knowledge of possession
Giving the fire of meaning in attachment
Though I have sought to flee attachments
I have found that a good mate is

A kind of death to the world, and all other women
Such being the case, I am enslaved by
A world full of women, and their care
With only cause to essay to please them

That is the true fever from which I suffer
Gladly or nobly, I do not know
So shall burn this world, and none have wit
That such roles as man and woman
Were given to us, for breeding and other cares.

Star Climbers

5

My lover gave me green leaves
with the mud of longing on them
her fragrance stuck on the flower stems

where her tender heart once plucked them
she gave me the note of what
the river sang but couldn’t put into words

she gave me fire struck by living bolder
and thoughts, like the flint of ideas
she gave me the taste for progress

in my loins and in my heart
the syllables of hope that when spoken
created lifetimes of universal magic

my lover gave me green leaves
that shine from a golden sun
and promise, she set her eyes on stars

and told me our descendents would one day
climb over to them, and I with empty hands
gave a little gasp of joy, because
I could see it all happen too.
