Her Gratitude Tasted

rainy-day

In palaces of fire and water,
Hae.mi, how does the heart not lose herself?
When from rim to rim she squanders her beauty
In the pangs of gorgeous motherhood!

And it arouses me, because we stayed at home
Where roses meet their blowing end
And fragrance falls on thirsty lips
By gates of Eden, erect and wet

Our first elation met vaguely understood
Beneath the mirrors and hunger of our youth
Not all in world I have despised
I, who could not have who I desired most

Beneath friendly fire and blossoms of the misunderstood
In winged freedom’s last designs
Where I touched beneath your skin
The kisses have no names that you can utter

The pleasures have no shame when
Each to each are wed in friendship,
And obscene gratitude, and a lifetime’s ache.

Psalm 2 – Unconditional

Why do the weak find God easier?
It is because they know innately
How to surrender to his Will
The Lord cares not for your

Human strength, in an artificial
Society, in contexts of your
Politics, or your ideas of good
I will declare the decree that

God is natural, takes no particular
Joy in judgement or acts of superiority
But gives life, as the sun or as
The soil or as the trees and waters

Why do the loving find God easier?
It is because they innately know
How to give of themselves and thus
Are given back to a hundred-fold

Therefore, do not be so meek
And shut thyself in thy little routine
But make time for kindness
A little each day, that thy death

Won’t be a selfish act of escape
But a liberation from all thy good works
Be wise therefore, of what it means
To be natural, to rejoice, without

Judgement, not condemning others
To your petty views, to your ridiculous
Biases, no matter how benevolent
What can thy possibly know

Of another creation’s fate?
Morality is by instinct a failing to take
Into account, the universal laws
That is the true nature of things.

Treatise on Lao-Tzu

47

Health is the possession of nature
Contentment being a confidence in non-being
For all that can live without form
Is the greatest joy of self-evident spirit!

Being deeply loved by someone
Gives you strength, while loving someone
Deeply gives you courage, therefore
Be it said that you loved with all your kindness!

Possessing fully your inner-nature
Finding peace in all that is transient
Your kindness in words creates confidence
Your kindness in thoughts creates profoundness

Your kindness in cherishing creates love in others
Be it said that you were the silent source
Of strength for others, fully and simply yourself
Without any need to compete or compare

Worthy of the respect of all others
A simple person, a patient man, a compassionate woman.
