My Fabric was made by deep organ-notes

Screen Shot 08-27-15 at 04.39 PM

I have been quiet a long while
Through my soul wet with spirit
Though my heart whole with love
Though my passion righteous

With strange infinitude
I have not any body of royalty’s sign
I’ve grown old, weak, alone
Haloed with my mystic literature

I uncoil beauty’s parting
And the sun’s goodbye to youth
And there is no wine-flush left
No opalescent hope for prosperity

I am all that I will ever be
From becoming to indignity
My compassion has been ministered
Upon this Earth in little bursts

And that’s enough for whichever
Strange singer’s mind gave birth to me
I am the cosmos suddenly poor
Suddenly curious for a weary lifetime.

The Cup that shows the world

3

The spirit of time has entered my blood
And I am alive, in a whole new way
I’ve felt the gateway’s breath

Of the worshiper before birth
And the saviour after death
I feel fire and idol in my heart

I’ve drunk all the wines of this world
And now, I am ready for the future
Not as a person, but as a consciousness

Give a helping hand to those
As much as you can, who show
The will to be support others

Through humans will break their
Vows a hundred times, and make
The same errors all over again

The universe is a ruthless compassion
And evolution is a tyrannical master
But unbeliever, the deities are about
To be born all over again.

The Business of the Recluse

(Brahmacharya)

8

The recluse is he who
loves nature more than man
for man is arrogant
and nature is natural

the recluse cares not for
the politics of civilization
and the inflated idea of

a currency that is not real
the dollar of this or that country
and imaginary territory
of this or that people

and imaginary Gods of this or that
origin, that is innovated
by this or that gestures
and who gets credit when

the credit is due to nature
the recluse not understanding
man’s self-importance
lives a life of contemplation

not only breeding for man’s dominance
not only mating for pleasure
but with an eye for the universe

and looking for signs of the cosmos
in nature and the history of man
and for the future that has yet

to be born, the recluse
has an internal being made for
not only for her personal affairs

but for wisdom, art, knowledge
and the formula of love that
could one day save humanity.

A Self-Help Poem

To love life, a gift from Creation
Is a duty we too easily forget
Misunderstood is the wonder
Lost in suffering, is the gratitude

But friendship with life, is so
Essential to finding beauty
Learning like a child, so fundamental
In our ability to appreciate circumstance

And paramount, in the capacity
Of limited creatures to choose free-will
And exercise their soul, in blossoms
Of experience, in honest affections

In pure becoming, that’s the philosophy
No trials can censure love out
There are these holy attractors
These metaphysical magnets of bliss

They are quantum fuel for the sensitive
Not only to be sensitive to suffering
But sensitive to virtue, open to kindness
Giving and receiving, without judgement

Participating in harmony spontaneously
God knows you are apt to enjoy suffering
But to make it a habit would be an absurdity
Make love the habit you base your life upon

To walk a golden path with a smile
To find your dreams on a sunlit assertion
That your life is what you believe it can be:
Life is a perception of how you reinforce the positive.

The Fever for a Cosmic Devotion

12

It is from God, so hear!
And to serve God you return
Not the God of your people
But the God that is universal

So good and with details for the whole
Of evolution, encyclopaedic
With a breath that is all-merciful
We learn to be compassionate

Through pure trials of suffering
And it’s not, that we are different after all
We share the same genes, similar stories
Carry a spirit in a body, harvest soul

In what we do, create, express, innovate
It is from God, so you see!
My Beloved, is the same as yours!
For none sees him except himself

That we all possess some page
Of the religion of love
Whatever way Love works in you
I follow the same path, I’m sure

And faith is but an approximation
Of the vibration, the quantum signature
That lights the way, my silence listens
My surrender is a practiced “letting go”

Maybe it took me lifetimes
To encompass inner beauty
These are the tears of the soul-forever
I could not forget the privilege.

Morning Song

11

Every morning
The world is created &
I am a new person

Purified by the tips of orange
Alive with sticks of the sun
Patting me, caressing me
Aching in me to be somebody new
And summer pushes me enlightening

My spirit in phases of existence
For hours I am drunk in
The possibilities of who I could be

But the day has its plan for me
As I submit to the light everywhere
I can feel it secretly working in me
Every morning
I awake to a harmony

That is lighter than snow
More wise than the sound
Of migrating birds, more deep

Than the green that always returns
And my prayers are no longer
Loud, but a part of the silence
From which all prayers come and go
Every morning

The world is created &
I am a new person
With the ashes of night

Sparkling in my chest
Like the reminder of past lifetimes
And in my soul I carry
Thorns like jewels
And it has become my nature

To be happy, to share it
To gift it as if soft trails
Of happiness existed everywhere.

time of revelation

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.
~ Aristotle

45

Give me not translations
of what all the mystics sought
creation forgotten
creator only felt

attention turned inward
in love with the Beloved alone
don’t call it God
call it supreme nature

that everyone possesses
that can possess everyone
if they only knew
how to surrender to its

sum of perfection
to its righteous unity
give me not translations
of what the rishi or the saint

might have thought they had
creation found
creator born anew
o tender burn!

o burning caress!
that renders all debts paid
that makes karma holy
and time sacred

amen, whose splendor
is for living fire
warm and to enlighten
playful, to win my love!

soul never ceases

“What Is Love? I have met in the streets a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, the water passed through his shoes and the stars through his soul”
― Victor Hugo

44

Incited by something internal
Love feeds the centuries
nothing but her attention

everything in her devotion
you believe you act for your self
but it guides you, incited by
the light of your soul that is

an evolutionary spark of quantum
intelligence, a psychic source of love
and also its food, beauty and intimacy

which never grows scarce
wisdom and good works
these are her instruments
harmony, gratitude, compassion, peace

so use them like small lamps
in your life, feed them with
attention, practice, active service

as a diamond fountain gushing forth
as divine roses, the sea of truth
your spirit prepares all obstacles.

Mystic Disillusionment

90

O’ soul, bring wine for mystical devotion
For I am suffering of earthly malady
I have forgotten spiritual things

Bring me the cup of ‘divine nectar’
I am thirsty for Cosmic nature
My speech has become pained

With the burdens of brief-necessity
O’ soul, Beloved, pour me the cup
Of the inner life, that used to suffice

The solace of deeper things, greater truths
For I am impoverished by this world’s harms
The corruption of men and their unnatural orders

O’ soul, bring wine for inner peace and immortal bliss
For these lamentations are like a Buddhist
Or some fool that witnesses too much sin.

I Hear the Mad Woman Singing Old Hymns

64

Dark Friend, what can I say?
That Krishna is with me to the end
This love I bring
In suffering I heeded not a normal life
Seeing the elegant body of the Supreme
I am ravished
Courted by spiritual messengers
My brain sings the old Sanskrit hymns
The perennial feelings
Well up teardrops of surrender
I blaze across mystic silence
I am stamped by lifetime after lifetime
Like a virgin to God
Like an infant to Nature
I visit the courtyard
Where we first met
From distant lifetimes that are ancient
Today will too one day be ancient
Dark Friend, what can I say?
That I do not fear death.

The Valley of Obviously

99

When I pronounce the word future
I know it’s your birthday
Everything is open and possible
Like, flowers beneath your feet

The only roads are those that
Offer serendipity, divine access
You were always one to walk
The sunlight path, so when I hear

You breathe in transcendent footsteps
I make an inner smile, for the tapas
The weight of proofs were never enough for you
When I pronounce the world your lover

I know it’s your birthday
The tree of valid harmony above you
It too, is raining flowers for tomorrow
And everyday will feel like this –

A dazzling understanding, straight and simple
From the verity of your strange art of heart
When I pronounce the word creativity
I know it’s your birthday

A vaster vista, a garden of deeper love
Waits for you in the gentle now.

Migrating Silence

46

A part of me seeks inner government
To break into a lonely country
Broke from love, not impoverished
But neutral, sexless, just fraternal
To pick Lords of Memory of friendship
Instead of love, blot out telling rain and candles
Settle for sunshine, twenty-four-seven!
To languish in conversations
That never end, like how a line
Of in a Chinese Poem can change my mind
Like a sweetly drunk monk, choose
The simple life, a part of me seeks the
Exile’s perfect letter, language of silence
Where equanimity bathes the mist
Along all shores, triumphant &
Forgetting the Self perfectly.

The Veins that Run from all Centuries

13

I can feel a tremendous ballad
Approaching me from within

A rising discontent, with locality
I want to live outside of time & space

Embrace dimensions where “I” does not exist
That is the trusting of Omnipotence
And the true unity of Immortality
Life sustains itself, I can forsake this body

So long as I have a means to experience
The Kingdom of Heaven, spiritual totality

I can feel a tremendous ballad
Overtaking me from without

All these Delinquent Palaces
Achieving poetic strain, at a distance
Assisted by false estimates of mortal consequence
I can feel a tremendous ballad

Between Zero and the Bone
Between Love and all other interchange.

To sneak upward is one way to reach God
My teacher said to learn to be transparent
To bathe in silence and watch the waves

To shed in the cycles of time
To renew the spiritual skin, again & again
Until you are so alive
That nothing can stop you
All nature is a fire

So learn the alchemy
Of transformation, befriend change
Shine on the sunlight and praise the metamorphosis
Dart with the ancient hieroglyphs

Learn what the ancients meant
By spiritual discipline, conservation of energy
The same river of the universe is always there
We burn in it and are taken away

Only to age in rugged paradigms
One step closer to quantum realities
Self-preservation is a spiritual event.
