The heart is burning with separation
What can cure it?
God, divine love, unity

The mind is weary of anonymity
In an uncaring world
What can cure it?
God, divine love, unity

The day of judgement is upon thee
Who can face it?
Your soul with god, divine love, unity
So the soul becomes the loyal friend

After personality has
Faded away and time has given up
Poetry remembers all of this

And that is why we write
The Beloved is an empathy
As wide as the universe

Suffering brings us close to the goal
So do not recoil from it
What can save you?

God, divine love, unity
Like a lost bliss in creation itself
Or a high smile evolution’s brilliance

What can cure the choices we make…
You know already the spiritual condition.

Neptune’s Shining Electrons

The universe loves and melts us
With time’s water, dreams
Our will must abide by nature
And our years must learn

To laugh with fleeting joys
And the sea exists without the waves
And the light exists without the suns
And life observes without

One or another particular race
And planets must attune
Themselves to the cosmos
To be ready to participate in it

Planets, stars, stardust, earths
The moulding furnace and the
Wispy dynasties of bliss
The thirst for more

Progress and creation’s waves
To let the quantum signature
Make of our lives what it may
In solid, liquid, vapour and light

Mould us to an energy
Beyond the limits of the original body
Across boundaries of eternity
Knower, knowing, known as one

Object and subject identified together
Meditation and action shinning
Entering a great myself that is not me
A spotless mental sky that has
Celestial aims, transcendent views.

SAMASTI

62

i

There is no power, like calling the invisible
From the estranged intensity
Of these pockets of soul
These coloured hosts of spirit

ii

A personal episode of faith
On a sunny windless afternoon
The point where Spring turns to Summer
Showing no signs of mastering
Solitude, brusque abrupt compassion will do

iii

A white-daylight Buddhist sort of service
That serves all without judging
There is no power, like community
The human act will make us real again
Connect our knowledge to daily humility

iv

Regaining last crumbs of empathy
Lingering a while like fluff blown
To pollinate what and for who and how

v

There is no power, like a love
That never has to say goodbye, because
We learned to love everyone a bit
Like a Buddhist ceremony of humanity.
