Language is a flirtation

With flexibility, the mind

Empowers the image

The image empowers the

Alphabet, the energy

Is a conference of belonging

There is no buzzword in poetry

Poets reside in the

Chatroom of the spirit

It’s a captcha of lingering

Imagination on the brink of

Extinction, a cloud computing

Of beauty, a purist busking

Not for profit, so unlike

The Affluenza of our times

The stark money divide

Poetry is an algorithm unsolved

Forever like a kind of tourism

The soul’s App for bromance

A buzz for civiliation’s

Gratitude and ruin, simultanely

Depicting the carjked destiny

Of utopia in dystopia

Englihs is the most flexible

If adopting mandarin and Sanskrit

The baggravation of always

Being stuck between worlds

Or the realization that

Every city is a homogenized urban

Simulation of what it means

To be alive in 2020, the breakdown

Of new world dilemmas like

A post antibiotic world or

Environmental migrants scrambling

For new homes, new identities.

Pleasure in Poetry I

What is poetry?
Poetry is the silence
Burning with all-time
History echoing in the

Shadows asking them to dance
Poetry is the first memory
Of language, when women and men
First began to distil symbols

Using words to fill emotions
With light, but we forget about the light
A poem begins as a spark
In the brain, a neurotransmitter

Of homesickness for something divine
For a present with beauty
Poetry is the least imposition
On silence in a world of chatter

Where information is censored
And the truth is not to be found
What is poetry?
It’s that which drives my soul

In a precise thing like mathematics
To reach beyond language for the stars
With audiences that were literate
Asking words to become butterflies

From the usual caterpillars
Anyone could be a poet
Poetry are thoughts that breathe
And burn in our minds until

They hit the page softly
Uniting pleasure with truth.

BECAUSE OF LANGUAGE

2

In the tumbling of the divine musician
And the trample of the orators
There was a mystic poetry

The suave cosmic diamond-egg
Of song and meaning, language
That runs like the brightest streams

Down centuries where we have listening
In the overgrown forest of stanzas
And the battlefield of non-silence

There holds our attention, a voice
Mobs of wisdom heralded, a weak voice
Nearly mute, the voice of the soul

On a torn page of Aristotle’s metaphysics
Where genius had no visible shadow
And philosophy has no material counterpart.

Gateway of an Author

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

In the kingdom of poets, you are my
Pronoun intertwined, my lover of words
I read you like a lover touches you
.
.
I learn to be in your suppositions
Striving to yield in your lyricism
And break free in your hypothesis
In the realm of expression, you are my
Premonition of the dream of years
.
.
Arriving forever at distant wonder
Alphabets of yearning, unmistakable fountains
I attempt to enter your gateway of being
With the optimism of your humanitarianism
I read you like a lover touches you
First tenderly and then fiercely, over and over
Again, you are the singing in my brain
The lavish ceremony of my soul’s literature
.
.
I grasp at meanings in-between your sentences
And analyze you because you told me
That I could know you through your poems.

Mapping That Which Brought Forth Honey

It’s breathwork to play with syntax
Like underwater synastry of phrasing
The cadence is a cukoo of metre

I refuse consensus of syllable-count
I’m articulate without parameters
A free-verse bird’s call, a terrible fret

Of the higher forms of expression
A particular stanza, the way the wind blows
Agreeable in a certain slant of light

It’s breathtaking to shape music
And juggle fiction like ethereal plot
The trees, they have a last-chance

Threshold of dispossessing the wind
The poet, purifies language
In ceremony that ponders our hulking innocence

Those parts in us which are still raw
To the core of world-class lyrical topography.
